RVM16E
ELECTRONIC SPEED REGULATOR RVM12E FOR SINGLE PHASE ASYNCHRONOUS MOTORS IP55 PROTECTION CASING

regolatore di velocità rvm16e

FEATURES

The regulator is formed by circuits incorporating triac controlled by an external command, for the continuous speed variation from 30 up to 100% of 220V single and biphase motor nominal speed, with 16 Ampere max nominal current. The regulator has been made specially for motors connected with fans or aspirators. It may also be used as a voltage variator for any ohmic load. See that the min. voltage regulation starts from 30-40% of line voltage. The regulator can change voltage from 0 up to max line voltage, upon request. It is housed in a plastic container: on the frontal panel are situated the switch, the hand grip command for speed variation and the trimmer for min. speed regulation.

INSTALLATION

For wall installation, fasten the regulator with 4 screws. RVM 16/E.

OPERATION

We recommend to follow carefully the instructions, in order to avoid regulator or motor damage. Connect wires to the supply line and to the motor as shown on fig. 1, if a motor’s 3 wires connection is possible see that the regulator can work only if the voltage regulator circuit (terminals W-U) supplies the motor coil-winding without condensator. Connect as shown on fig. 2, if at the motor output only 2 wires are available or for ohmic load: in that case terminals W and U are only used. Supply the regulator with regulation hand grip at min. (counter-clockwise turned). Motor supply: about 75V. With the trimmer on the frontal panel it is possible to regulate min. voltage from 75V up to 180V. Make sure that on min. voltage motor runs. If not, increase voltage using the trimmer. Turn the regulation hand grip clockwise: the motor speed will increase up to nominal speed. An internal trimmer (sealed) allows to reduce min. voltage under 75V. It’s recommended not touch it, as under 75V the motor could not run and therefore be damaged.
