This series is particularly suitable in power supply network with medium/high harmonic distortion of current (100% of non linear load in network). The presence of static converters of power, inverter, ups, single phase traction, arc furnaces, or system with impedance no linear like stured transformer, arc welders; all of these can create the presupposition for the utilization of AF series. The harmonic component, generate form the aforesaid loads, they could provoke malfunctions to other apparatuses and particularly to the capacitors for power factor correction present in the plant. The capacitors, in fact, would work with current overload that can reduce the life time of the same; in some limit cases, the harmonicas can then be dangerously excited in resonance presence between capacitors and line. With AF equipment equipped with filtered block we are able to eliminate all these problems. The modularity and easy expansion allows of follow the growth of the user in any moment and with the minimum of necesIRIy expense. AF series used load break switches with pre-opening contact, and banks are protected by a set of three HRC fuses (NH00 type-curve gG) with high breaking capacity (100kA). For high reliability each bank of capacitors is controlled by its own three-pole contactor, blocking reactor with tuning frequency 189Hz N=3,7. Rated voltage of the auxiliary circuits 230V 50Hz (other upon request). Forced ventilation made by fun for each module with thermal relay for fun and bock; equipped with latest microprocessor regulator IRIenergy type MRK with backlit LCD display multilanguage with text and icons and programmable alarm with possibility of remote control. The capacitors used, IRIpro, are self-healing high energy density polypropylene metalized single-phase with overpressure safety device and discharge resistor, PCB free. We use capacitors with Un 550V rated voltage. AF series is made for floor installation, cable entry form bottom, maintenance form front plant, capacitors climbed on rack, metal case in a strong steel sheet and painted with epoxy resin RAL7035.
